The Potentilla (Dasiphora) fruticosa is our ornamental plant of the week. This rare, low growing, rounded shrub has dainty, grey-green leaves and brilliant, showy yellow flowers.
In the rose family, it is a very easy shrub to grow, potentilla is a hardy plant that will grow with very little care in full sun in many different types of landscapes and climates. This ground cover species is tolerant of poor soils and has good drought tolerance. These plants do great in cold winter climates. Originally found growing wild in Utah, our Medicine Wheel Mountain potentilla will bring life and color to your yard.
