Description
Alyssum Mountain is a popular perennial rock garden plant due to its beautiful display of brilliant yellow fragrant flowers in the spring and summer. This matting, low-growing plant will keep its small, hairy, green-gray leaves all year long. With a typical growth of 4-6” tall and 18” wide, they are an easy-to-fit burst of color to any landscaping project. Gardeners can expect it to reach its full size within two to five years.
Also called Mountain Gold or Mountain Madwort (he he), these hardy plants thrive in dry, rocky soil and full sun. But they can tolerate light shade as well. This creeping basket of gold flowers will also attract many beneficial insects to your garden.
Fun Fact: Alussum Montanum is related to broccoli; it is in the Brassicaceae family

Great packaging and good looking little plants. I got a note from Hart when I bought them in September that the plants should be winding down for the season. I planted them right away and they are still green after 3 snowfalls and some below freezing weather. I hope they do as well in the White Mountains of AZ as they did for me back in CO.

These stayed green all winter long and are coming back beautifully. I planted them on either side of a clematis – they should be very pretty when they bloom alongside the purple clematis.
