A prolific cold hardy deciduous spreading shrub, native to the Rocky Mountains up to 11,000 ft. elevation. Often seen along streams but actually is very drought tolerant. It has moderate growth 2ft. to 5ft, usually less and can be held at any height with yearly pruning. Dark green leaves with profuse pink flowers thru the summer followed by bright orange/red rose hips in fall that stay on branches thru the winter. Deer resistant, easy to grow and low water requirements make this a notable addition to any garden!
